Pulse Survey

In February 2005, a group of 13 members of the OD Network met in Phoenix, Arizona to discuss and plan for the future of the OD Network. Led by Maggie Hoyer, Executive Director of the OD Network, and facilitated by Lisa Carmichael, Principal and Vice-President of Frontier Associates, Inc., a management consulting and organizational coaching firm based in Los Angeles, California, a diverse group of individuals were included in this meeting. They were members of the OD Network staff, the Board of Trustees and the broader organization. These individuals also came from across a wide range of constituency groups, including internal and external consultants, seasoned practitioners and newer professionals in the field, different racial backgrounds and ethnicities, etc., and therefore were intended to represent the voice – and needs – of the field.

The Strategic Planning and Implementation process included a survey of OD Network members, asking what it means to be a leader in advancing the theory and practice of organization development as well as what members expect from OD Network.
